We are meant to explore, to seek, to push the limits of our potential Selfish action imprisons the world
Act selflessly, without any thought of personal profit Live a well-balanced life
It will bring you peace Whatever happened, happened for the good
Whatever is happening, is happening for the good Whatever will happen, will also happen for the good Set thy heart upon your work
But never on its reward Calmness, gentleness, silence, self-restraint, and purity
These are the disciplines of the mind We cannot hope to escape karma by refraining from our duties
To survive in the world, we must act Your judgment will be better and your vision clear
If you are not emotionally entangled in the outcome Through selfless service
You will always be fruitful and find the fulfillment of your desires The effort never goes waste, and there is no failure
Even a little effort toward spiritual awareness will protect you from the greatest fear Detachment from material things is the way to inner peace
We must act in a selfless spirit, without ego and without getting entangled
in whether things work out the way we want Only then will we not fall into the terrible net of karma. Love, tolerance, and selflessness should be practiced
Those established in self-realization
Control their senses instead of letting their senses control them Your destiny entirely in your hands
The world is not deterministic, but neither is it an expression of blind chance Perform your obligatory duty
Because action is indeed better than inaction Perform all work carefully, guided by compassion
A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and the right place
And when we expect nothing in return Some people spread happiness wherever they go
Others create happiness wherever they go Actions do not cling to me because I am not attached to their results
Those who understand this and practice it live in freedom If you want to see the brave and bold
Look to those who can return love for hatred The world of the senses is just a base camp
We are meant to be as much at home in consciousness as in the world of physical reality All that we are is the result of what we have thought
We are made of our thoughts We are molded by our thoughts Meet this transient world with neither grasping nor fear
Trust the unfolding of life, and you will attain true serenity We shape ourselves and our world by what we believe and think and act on
Whether for good or for ill On this path effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure
Even a little effort toward spiritual awareness will protect you from the greatest fear Seek refuge in the attitude of detachment and you will amass the wealth of spiritual awareness
The one who is motivated only by the desire for the fruits of their action and anxious about the results, is miserable indeed The happiness which comes from long practice
Which leads to the end of suffering Which at first is like poison But at last like nectar This kind of happiness arises from the serenity of one’s own mind The spirit is beyond destruction
No one can bring an end to the spirit It is everlasting It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly
than to live an imitation of somebody else’s life with perfection If you want to be Great
Think Great and Positive This pleasure, which appears as poison in the beginning but is like nectar in the end
Comes by the grace of Self-knowledge Be calm
Love and practice selflessness There is nothing lost or wasted in this life

One should never dishonor oneself You are your own friend as well as your enemy The search for happiness and fulfillment is one we’ve all taken
It often comes after a difficult time and can feel quite overwhelming But whilst you might be tempted to buy a new coat, or adopt a lost kitten,
The Bhagavad Gita teachings encourage you to find it from within. To open your heart, and live your life, with every ounce of integrity you have Live life to its fullest
With purpose And trust in yourself Man is made by his belief
As he believes, so he is There are three gates to this self-destructive hell
Lust, anger, and greed Renounce these three Those who cannot renounce attachment to the results of their work are far from the path
Performs action by body, mind, intellect, and senses,
without attachment, for self-purification Happiness derived from a combination of the senses and the sense objects
Is always a cause of distress And should be avoided by all means One should strive and employ oneself to uplift oneself
One should never dishonor oneself The self is one’s friend as well as one’s enemy. As they approach me, so I receive them
All paths, Arjuna, lead to me – Krishna Calmness, gentleness, silence, self-restraint, and purity
These are the disciplines of the mind Always perform your duty efficiently and without attachment to the results
Because by doing work without attachment one attains the Supreme The impermanent appearance of happiness and distress and their disappearance in due course are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons
They arise from a sense of perception, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed No one who does good work will ever come to a bad end
Either here or in the world to come What the outstanding person does, others will try to do
The standards such people create will be followed by the whole world I am the beginning, middle, and end of creation. – Krishna
When one’s mind dwells on the objects of Senses
Fondness for them grows on him From fondness comes desire, from desire anger Even the wise are confused about what is action and what is inaction
With the intuitive discrimination, saturated in patience, with the mind absorbed in the soul, freeing the mind of all thoughts, will by slow degrees attain tranquillity.

Who are free from desire and wrath, who know their own soul The self-controlled soul, who moves amongst sense objects
Free from either attachment or repulsion Wins eternal Peace That one is dear to me who runs not after the pleasant or away from the painful
Grieves not, lusts not But lets things come and go as they happen The offering of wisdom is better than any material offering
For the goal of all work is spiritual wisdom Sever the ignorant doubt in your heart with the sword of self-knowledge
Observe your discipline. Arise! There is neither this world nor the world beyond nor happiness
For the one who doubts Hell has three hates
Lust, anger and greed All created beings are unmanifest in their beginning, manifest in their interim state, and unmanifest again when they are annihilated
So what need is there for lamentation? Just as a reservoir is of little use when the whole countryside is flooded
Scriptures are of little use to the illumined man or woman, who sees the Lord everywhere Even if you were the most sinful of sinners you could cross beyond all sin by the raft of spiritual wisdom
The deluded ones, who restrain their organs of action but mentally dwell upon the sense enjoyment, are called hypocrites
You grieve for those who should not be grieved for, yet you speak wise words
Neither for the dead nor those alive do the wise grieve for Set thy heart upon thy work, but never on its reward

You should perform your duty with a view to guide people and for universal welfare
All happiness in the material world has a beginning and an end
But happiness in Krishna is unlimited, and there is no end. For the senses wander, and when one lets the mind follow them
It carries wisdom away like a windblown ship on the waters All work is being done by the energy and power of nature
But due to delusion of ego people assume themselves to be the doer Whatever you do, make it an offering to me – the food you eat, the sacrifices you make, the help you give, even your suffering. – Krishna
The immature think that knowledge and action are different
But the wise see them as the same Man is made by his belief
As he believes, so he is We behold what we are
And we are what we behold There is more happiness in doing one’s own path without excellence
than in doing another’s path well You have the right to work, but never to the fruit of work
You should never engage in action for the sake of reward Nor should you long for inaction For the senses wander, and when one lets the mind follow them
It carries wisdom away like a windblown ship on the waters One who sees inaction in action
And action in inaction Is intelligent among men Those who realize the self are always satisfied
Having found the source of joy and fulfillment They no longer seek happiness from the external world Happiness can only be found within the self The embodied soul is eternal in existence, indestructible, and infinite
